2-Handed Swords are weapons that require both of the users hands for use, similar to Axes . They have a range of attack speeds from 0.5 to 2.5 swings per second. Although generally slower than a one handed weapon, they generally have a longer reach, higher Damage, and greater knockback. Two Handed Sword's downward slicing attack also reaches slightly above the player, allowing the player to defend himself more easily against enemies that use the Body Slam attack type. When making a new character and entering the game, you will get a 2-handed sword, depending on which race you picked. It has the same stats no matter what race you picked. Also for 2-Handed Swords, there are many abilities when right-clicking using the mouse, it could be parry, special attacks, etc.
Weapon Usage Strategies
A common strategy when using a Two Handed Sword is to stand relatively still while fighting melee based monsters. When the monster runs in to attack, simply swing your sword. The long range and heavy knockback of the two handed sword will keep the player relatively safe while sending the assailant hurdling away, just for him to rush forward again.
When dealing with ranged assailants, it is easiest to jump into the air and aim for just in front of the attacker, just as they fire their shots. With some good timing and a little practice, you will be able to avoid their ranged attacks and hit them with your own powerful melee attack.
